Associate / VP – Relationship Manager, Financial Institutions

Job Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management & Business Development

• Manage and develop long-term relationships with financial institution clients, understanding their strategic priorities and financial objectives.
• Build and execute account plans to identify growth opportunities and deepen client engagement.
• Originating new business opportunities across financing, capital markets, foreign exchange, structured finance, and advisory solutions.
• Expand wallet share and strengthen existing client relationships to support sustainable revenue growth.

2. Transaction Origination & Solution Delivery

• Collaborate with product specialists to structure and deliver customized banking solutions.
• Coordinate financing, investment, liquidity, capital management, hedging, and risk management solutions aligned with client needs.
• Lead the execution of complex transactions while working closely with Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams.
• Support cross-border opportunities and regional transactions through collaboration with global stakeholders. 

3. Market Intelligence & Stakeholder Coordination

• Monitor market trends, industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting financial institutions.
• Translate market insights into actionable opportunities for clients and the business.
• Maintain strong knowledge of clients’ financial performance, business strategy, ownership structure, and risk profile.
• Ensure high standards of client coverage, pipeline management, governance, and reporting.

Job Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions Coverage, Investment Banking, or related financial services environments.
• Proven track record managing relationships with banks, insurance companies, asset managers, securities firms, or other financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of financial institution business models, financial statements, credit analysis, and industry dynamics.
• Experience originating and developing opportunities across capital markets, financing, structured finance, foreign exchange, or advisory products.
• Knowledge of financial markets, risk management, and regulatory requirements affecting financial institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex transactions involving multiple internal stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen, relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across local, regional, and global teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in both Vietnamese and English.
