KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive strategic expansion of the product portfolio to unlock new revenue streams and increase market share.
- Assess ROI of R&D initiatives to ensure alignment with long-term business growth goals.
- Investigate and implement innovative processes and technologies that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Translate insights from Consumer Intelligence (CI) into commercially viable product concepts and scalable formulations.
- Ensure all new product developments reflect evolving consumer preferences, sensory expectations, and market trends.
- Build proactive collaborations with cross-functional departments to ensure R&D projects are executed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Lead R&D initiatives for steamed, fried, and grilled meat categories, establishing the division’s technology roadmap and innovation strategy.
- Design and refine processes, procedures, and product formulations to support successful product launches and portfolio expansion.
- Stay at the forefront of advancements in food processing and culinary science for heat-treated meat products.
- Promote cross-functional knowledge sharing between R&D, production, marketing, and quality assurance teams.
- Mentor and develop junior R&D staff through hands-on guidance, workshops, and internal training programs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the R&D function.
- Evaluate process parameters to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities while maintaining quality and full compliance with Vietnamese food safety and health regulations.
- Manage R&D projects from concept brief through to on-time product launch (OTI), ensuring strong execution at every stage of the NPD pipeline.
- Establish and lead a continuous improvement framework focused on enhancing the quality and efficiency of products and processes across the meat supply chain.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor/ Master Degree/Ph.D: Major Industrial Food, Technology, Bio Engineering
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in developing processed products steamed/fried/grilled chicken/pork priority export to markets Japan, Korea, Singapore, Middle East, Philippines…;
- Experienced in building technological processes and implementing mass production of products on industrial scale lines.
