Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers.
  • Source materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications and BOQ requirements.
  • Maintain and update supplier database, including pricing, performance, and compliance records.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

2. Procurement Planning & BOQ Understanding

  • Review and interpret BOQ to determine accurate material requirements.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines, budget, and technical requirements.

3. Negotiation & Cost Control

  • Price negotiations with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms.
  • Monitor market trends to optimize procurement costs and identify savings opportunities.

4. Order Processing & Follow-up

  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner.
  • Track order status, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.
  • Proactively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays.

5. Progress Tracking & Coordination

  • Monitor procurement progress against project schedules.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on procurement status.
  • Coordinate closely with site teams to ensure materials arrive as needed.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation (contracts, POs, invoices, delivery notes).
  • Support audits and ensure transparency in procurement processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of procurement experience in construction or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of BOQ and construction materials.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and supplier negotiation.
  • Excellent follow-up, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills in English (and local language as required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
