Job Purpose
Responsible for providing comprehensive legal services in activities related to treasury, foreign exchange (FX), and transaction banking operations, including: (i) Legal advisory; (ii) Drafting and reviewing internal regulations and policies; (iii) Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; and (iv) Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory (35%)
Provide legal advice on matters related to treasury, foreign exchange, and transaction banking operations.
Contract Review and Negotiation (30%)
Review, draft, and advise on contracts and standard templates used in treasury, foreign exchange, and transaction banking activities.
Collaborate with business units and relevant departments to negotiate complex contracts with counterparties (for Senior Specialists/Experts).
Internal Policy Review (30%)
Review internal regulations and policies related to treasury, foreign exchange, and transaction banking to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Other Duties (5%)
Provide comments on draft laws and regulations.
Assess the impact of new legal regulations on the bank’s operations.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law.
Minimum of:
Over 5 years of experience (for Expert level);
5 years (for Senior Specialist);
3 years (for Principal Officer);
1 year (for Officer) in legal or banking operations.
In-depth understanding of banking operations, processes, and activities; strong knowledge of legal frameworks governing treasury, foreign exchange, and transaction banking activities.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Good command of English for professional communication (for Experts/Senior Specialists); basic English proficiency for other levels.
