Job description

OVERALL EXPECTATIONS OF THE POSITION

Technology Expert to lead and optimize the production of pasteurized sausage products. This role combines deep technical expertise in food processing with engineering principles to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, oversee equipment and process design, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maximize equipment efficiency to lower cost-per-unit and reduce energy consumption.
  • Drive process innovations that increase throughput while minimizing material waste.
  • Support ROI evaluations for capital investments in new machinery and automation technologies.
  • Enhance production reliability by minimizing downtime and engineering-related losses.
  • Ensure consistent output of high-quality, safe, and pasteurized sausages that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to reduce consumer complaints and improve satisfaction metrics.
  • Contribute to product development initiatives that extend shelf life and enhance market competitiveness.
  • Provide technical leadership during key customer quality audits and compliance reviews.
  • Lead the design, validation, and continuous improvement of sausage pasteurization processes, including thermal treatment, hygienic packaging, and sanitation controls.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production constraints and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QA, Maintenance) to boost line performance and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor/Master/Ph.D
  • Major: Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in meat processing, preferably with pasteurized products
