Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead monthly closing activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for the Business Unit. 
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing regular business performance updates.
  • Prepare management reports and insightful financial analyses for local and regional stakeholders. 
  • Partner closely with the Regional Finance team and provide regular financial reporting to regional management.
  • Deliver financial and operational data analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Group Finance and other Business Units to reconcile intercompany balances and ensure consistency in financial practices.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, finance policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Manage annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis against actual performance. 
  • Drive process improvements in reporting, planning, and financial management activities. 
  • Lead local and group audit processes and act as the Business Unit’s Chief Accountant. 
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Country Head and leadership team, supporting strategic initiatives and business decisions. 
  • Perform ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as assigned by the Country Head and Regional Finance team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Valid Chief Accountant Certificate (CAC) is mandatory.
  • ACCA qualification (completed or actively pursuing) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, or related finance functions. 
  • At least 1 year of experience serving as Chief Accountant.
  • Experience working with regional stakeholders and reporting directly to a Regional Finance team.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. 
  • Proven capability in financial data analysis, trend identification, and business performance evaluation.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence management decisions.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Xero, Business Central, or similar platforms. 
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
