ABOUT OUR CLIENT: Our client is a European manufacturer with strong investment to Vietnam. Greenfield project in Binh Duong.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Set SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) KPIs in line with the 5-year SHE strategy and 3-year improvement plan, aligning with Global C&S, Sustainability (People, Material, Planet), and the “Together Towards Zero” roadmap.
- Oversee SHE programs at the PPV site and implement action plans to ensure the health and safety of employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
- Standards Compliance & SHE Culture
- Drive implementation and sustainment of ISO14001, ISO45001, Disney ILS, HIGG FEM standards to build a proactive SHE culture.
- Ensure incident investigations are centrally managed, tracked, mitigated, and shared across sites for continuous learning (new processes, tools, equipment, chemicals, renovations).
- Policy Enforcement & Reporting
- Ensure consistent SHE policy implementation through ISO14001/45001 reviews and monthly SHE reporting to management.
- Support data tracking and reporting for both global sustainability and local management (LTIFR, incidents, chemical management, recycling, landfill reduction).
- Monitor occupational health programs, including ergonomics and medical checks, with proper record-keeping in compliance with PDPA.
- Legal Compliance & Audits
- Ensure full compliance with local laws on Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, and Environment across all sites.
- Act as lead/internal auditor for inspections and certifications (ISO14001/45001, Disney ILS, HIGG FEM, SMETA, CTPAT, TLS, CFO).
- Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to close CARs.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Training
- Liaise with government agencies for legal reporting, certifications, audits, and inspections.
- Lead “train-the-trainer” programs, develop SHE training plans, and ensure effective knowledge transfer across local and central teams.
- Maintain compliance in supplier qualification and waste management, ensuring adherence to global legal standards.
- Community & Recognition
- Coordinate SHE improvement plans with IEAT and other authorities, addressing complaints and participating in CSR initiatives.
- Strive for external SHE awards from Thai government agencies such as DIW, DLPW, TOSH, OAP, and Public Health organizations.
- Capability Building & Continuous Improvement
- Enhance SHE technical and non-technical competencies across teams.
- Foster collaboration with SHE coordinators to drive best-in-class SHE performance.
- Incorporate learnings into future programs and policies for continuous improvement.
- Benchmark with other jewelry manufacturing facilities to uplift and standardize SHE practices.
- Provide leadership and coaching to SHE teams, ensuring adequate resources and support.
- Analyze SHE KPI trends (leading & lagging indicators) to identify gaps and improve risk mitigation processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental (SHE) functions, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of international standards and tools, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, 5S, KYT, Disney ILS, and HIGG FEM.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive engagement.
- A collaborative team player with a professional and approachable personality.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to make sound, data-driven decisions and manage trade-offs effectively.
- Capable of managing high-volume and complex workloads while maintaining quality and timeliness.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication across global teams.
