RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead rooftop solar initiatives in Vietnam. This role is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic relationships, drive client acquisition and oversee project development for commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop solar installations. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is expected to deliver the following:
• Identify and develop rooftop solar opportunities
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy
• Negotiate contracts and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to project commissioning
• Coordinate with Technical team to conduct site assessments and technical feasibility studies
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution
• Stay informed about Vietnam’s solar regulations, incentives and market dynamics
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and client meetings
• Additional tasks may be assigned as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in solar or energy sectors
• Proven track record in developing and closing solar projects
• Fluency in English is required; Chinese speaking is a plus
• Demonstrated excellence in B2B sales, client relationship management and account growth
• Strong cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of rooftop solar systems, net metering, and power purchase agreements
• Ability to take responsibility and work limited supervision
• Exceptional presentation, communication and negotiation skills with a strong commercial mindset
