Support and promote Target Owned Brands’ strategic priorities while aligning daily activities with Target Corporation’s vision and values.
Continuously monitor macro and micro market trends to identify new business opportunities, assess potential risks, and provide market intelligence insights.
Maintain strong collaboration with Headquarters (HQ) partners and cross-functional teams (CFTs) to ensure effective execution of sourcing strategies, goals, and objectives.
Identify and evaluate potential vendors by assessing their product capabilities, manufacturing capacity, and operational readiness. Lead new vendor onboarding and establish effective working models with Target cross-functional teams.
Coordinate with vendors and HQ stakeholders to ensure product development milestones and business award timelines are achieved according to schedule.
Analyze product specifications, manufacturing feasibility, quality requirements, safety standards, and cost structures. Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing while meeting business objectives.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure vendors comply with Target’s responsible sourcing, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
Oversee post-award activities and monitor vendor performance to ensure delivery commitments, product quality, specifications, quantities, and timelines are consistently met.
Drive vendor engagement and performance improvement through KPI management, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance business execution, including data analysis, insight generation, decision support, productivity improvement, and communication effectiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related disciplines are preferred.
Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, merchandising, or supply chain management. Experience in Home & Hardlines products is highly preferred.
Prior experience working with global operating companies, trading companies, retail sourcing organizations, or product development teams is preferred.
Good understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and sourcing practices within the relevant geographic region.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data analysis and system adaptability skills.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
