Overview
This role leads the Continuous Improvement strategy and execution across a multi-site manufacturing network in Vietnam. The Director of Continuous Improvement is responsible for building a scalable CI operating model, delivering measurable operational performance, enabling digital manufacturing transformation, and strengthening long-term organisational capability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
CI Organisation & Operating Model
- Design and implement a structured CI organisation across existing and future manufacturing sites.
- Establish CI standards, methodologies, governance, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Ensure consistent CI practices are embedded across functions and locations.
Operational Performance Improvement
- Lead improvement initiatives that deliver validated gains in productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Define performance metrics, track benefits realisation, and report progress to senior leadership.
- Drive waste reduction and resource optimization initiatives across operations.
Digital Manufacturing & Automation Enablement
- Identify, pilot, and deploy digital and advanced manufacturing solutions to improve shopfloor performance.
- Translate technology adoption into practical, day-to-day operational improvements.
- Priorities initiatives based on value creation, scalability, and sustainability of results.
Manufacturing Process Optimization
- Improve end-to-end production flow, line balancing, changeover efficiency, and process stability.
- Standardize best practices while allowing flexibility for local operational requirements.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM methodologies with a strong focus on execution and results.
Capability Building & CI Culture
- Build CI capability through structured training, coaching, and on-the-job development.
- Develop internal CI leaders and a network of improvement practitioners across sites.
- Strengthen analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Maintenance teams to deliver integrated improvements.
- Communicate priorities, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks, remove barriers, and drive alignment across functions.
REQUIREMENT:
- 12+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Industrial Engineering within manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable performance improvements, preferably in multi-site operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of Lean, TPM, and industrial engineering tools.
- Comfortable working with data, digital systems, and manufacturing technologies.
- Experience in international or complex manufacturing organizations is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
