In order to help students’ career orientation, Talentnet Corporation cooperated with Marketing magazine to organize a University Tour at five universities nationwide, with the topic “ Marketing Jobs – The success path” as the kick-off to the “ Learn to be a Marketing Expert” contest during the period of 21st Dec to 29th Dec 2007. This was the most exciting and the largest activity for young people to date, designed to give them an overview, together with insights into the challenges, opportunities and attractiveness of this “hot” job.
In the presentation “The overview of a Marketing Job”, Ms. Nguyen Thi An Ha, Senior Marketing Executive of Talentnet Corporation, explained the basics and some detail of 4 different sectors of Marketing: brand management, advertising, public relations (media and events) and market research. To help students have a clear understanding, she provided real examples of companies and analyzed carefully the responsibilities of a real marketer in each sector. Through this information, she emphasized that young people should be aware of the importance of their career choice. They should think carefully, consider and choose the best fit job for their personalities and their expectations so that they can build up passion, enthusiasm and motivation to pursue their chosen career path. According to An Ha, Marketing is one of the highest earnings functions with successful and stimulating moments, but it also requires a lot of time and effort. The demand for marketing is still high and opportunities are available for those interested in this.
Talentnet Corporation, together with guests of the program-well-known marketers in Vietnam – provided practical and useful knowledge, as well as open and straightforward advice. Mr. Hoang Long from the Economics University shared his comments: “This program is very interesting and supportive for us to help me define the right career orientation. I will try to cultivate and improve my knowledge to become a good marketing expert in the future”. This was also the objective of Talentnet and Marketing magazine in setting up the University Tour.
